WebCast (live) registration
WebCast live registration enables you to record and broadcast
(live) events via your website. However, live broadcasting
via the Internet is not necessary when time and interactivity
play a less important role. In that case, offering short,
fast and appealing video clips is more interesting. Guided
by a professional ENG-team (Electronic News Gathering)
images are recorded, edited and encoded. In addition to
(live) broadcasting via the Internet you have a wide range
of options, like:
PowerPoint® presentation
A live broadcast via the Internet can be combined with a
PowerPoint® presentation. This presentation can be
synchronized or navigated by viewers themselves. The same
holds for the on-demand phase of broadcasts. Your presentation
will come across more distinctly using PowerPoint® sheets.
Video chat
Live broadcasts can be combined with different types of interaction,
among which video chatting. Viewers can submit questions
via the Internet, which can subsequently be answered using
words, gestures and text. WebCast uses different types
of chatting. Many-to-many allows everyone to chat with
each other and many-to-one allows viewers to ask only one
person questions, creating an online interview. Finally
there is one-to-one chatting, allowing two people to chat
with each other.
Distribution via portals
The success of Internet broadcasts is partly determined by
the number of viewers. SNT WebCast is linked to several
labels like Planet.nl and MSN.nl, so that Internet broadcasts
can be transmitted via these portals and a larger audience
can be reached. SNT cannot guarantee that these portals
will transmit all content, as they are editorially independent.
Using additional distribution, webcasts can also be transmitted
on the basis of commercial propositions in combination
with announcements on websites of, for instance, het Financieele
Dagblad, De FinanciëleTelegraaf and RTL-Z. Banners
and buttons on these sites are used to inform Internet
users about coming webcasts
WebCast Encoding
SNT WebCast can encode existing audiovisual material to Windows
Media Player or Real format. Possible source formats are,
among others, VHS, S-VHS, DV and Betacam.
WebCast Media hosting
The digital media files can be stored in one of the (shared)
media servers of WebCast. For this you reserve a special
amount of storage capacity based on a monthly fee.
WebCast streaming
Your wishes determine the number of simultaneous streams,
which in turn determines how many viewers can watch the Internet
broadcast simultaneously. The standard number of viewers
for live transmissions is 1000. In case of media hosting,
the number of simultaneous streams depends on how much disk
space you book. Extending the number of simultaneous streams
is possible and invoices are sent on a monthly basis.
